Cheryl L. Page is a Managing Director serving as Director of Interest Rate Strategies, and having senior responsibilities in Portfolio Management and Client Service. Prior to joining Caprin, Cheryl was Vice President and Institutional Fixed Income Manager for Trusco Capital Management (formerly Crestar Asset Management) where she created and managed 3 municipal bond funds: the Virginia Intermediate Fund, the Virginia Fund, and the Maryland Fund with combined assets in excess of $400 million. In addition to her duties as a Trusco mutual fund manager, Cheryl managed significant taxable accounts with assets including treasuries, government agencies, corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, mortgage-backed securities, and structured products. Cheryl also managed several insurance company accounts that were considered "crossover" portfolios, owning both taxable and tax-exempt securities requiring registration with the Securities Valuation Office and compliance with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Cheryl began her investment career with KeyTrust in Albany, New York during an internship the fall of 1987. After graduation she moved to Washington D.C. to join the First American Bank management training program and became a Portfolio Manager in 1989. Other responsibilities included Equity Research and Team Manager of the Common Trust Funds.
Cheryl graduated Cum Laude from State University of New York at Albany in 1987 with a B.S. in Business Administration and concentration in Finance. She earned her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ™) designation in 1992 and her Certified Financial Planner (CFP ®) designation in 2000. Cheryl is also a member of the CFA Virginia, formerly the Richmond Society of Financial Analysts, the CFA Institute, formerly the Association for Investment Management and Research, and is currently a Governor and Treasurer of the Board of the Bond Club of Virginia. She is also currently serving as the Public Relations Vice President for the Financial Planning Association of Central Virginia Board of Directors.
