William W. Flowers

William W. Flowers is Founder and Managing Director of Caprin Asset Management with primary responsibility for leading the firm’s marketing team, and developing its new business and product positioning strategies.  Prior to founding Caprin, Bill was Chief Investment Officer for Stern-Arenstein Enterprises, where he acted as Authorized Agent.  Prior to his service at Stern-Arentstein Enterprises, Bill was Co-Manager of Fixed Income for Branch-Cabell and Company.  Bill's career started in 1971 at United Virginia Bank as a management trainee.  In 1973 Bill moved into the investment department of United Virginia Bankshares, where he served as Assistant Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager of their municipal bond portfolio, which exceeded $500 million.

Bill has served on the Board of Governors of the Bond Club of Virgina and also has been active in the Richmond community.  Bill served as Regional Chairman Small Business Development for the United Way of Greater Richmond, Chairman of the Board of Deacons and a ruling Elder of Second Presbyterian Church.  Bill has been an active volunteer for the Richmond Strikers Soccer Club for more than 20 years, serving most recently as President and Chairman.  Bill also served as Chairman of the 1992 United States Youth Soccer National Championship held at the University of Richmond, was Volunteer-of-the-year for Virginia Youth Soccer, and is one of four founding members of the Metropolitan Richmond Sports Backers.

Bill graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, VA in 1967, and from Hampden-Sydney College in 1971 with a B.A. in Economics.
